Black Volunteer Caucus
I am a 9-year Survivor of both Colon and Breast Cancer and have served as an ACS CAN ACT TEAM LEAD in Charlotte, NC District 12 since 2017. I am also a member of the ACS CAN BLACK VOLUNTEER CAUCUS, and recipient of the 2022 ACS CAN Volunteer of the Year Award.
I've been a Cancer Healthcare Speaker since 2018.
Featured in an Interview on Medical Debt, on WBTV, Charlotte in 2023, I attribute my cancer survivorship to the passage of the Affordable Care Act and its subsidies that helped pay for over $100,00 in medical bills.
